1. TV Appearance on Fox 2 here in STL: Yep, that's right! Yours truly went and kicked off the #MomsLRBChallenge (Fitness Challenge) with the crew of the 9:00 Fox 2 show. Talk about fun! Anytime someone will let me talk about getting fit, I'm there. I showed up at 8:45 a.m. (as directed) and was escorted to the breakroom which also doubles as a set for food themed segments. I sat and talked to some amazing women from the Shop'n'Save team, who I hope I get to talk to again!
Time flew by as I sat and watched the TV station hum with organized chaos. It's so different than my world I just soaked it all in. I mean who eats sushi at 9:30 in the morning? Before I knew it they were calling me to head to the Fox 2 gym, which they have righ there in their building and I have to say it's not bad. It's pretty big and sufficient for what they need.
I was on for a 3 minute segment, which flew by because I got to interact with such great people. Just look at Meteorologist Angela Hutti doing her plank! The best part, throughout the broadcast they would show put MomsLittleRunningBuddy.com up on the screen. I have to think that's the equivelant of an actor seeing their name in lights. I still get goosebumps when I see that.
Seriously, that's an amazing woman. I'm so excited for her! She's getting married soon and she's totally motivated to take her fitness to another level. GO ANGELA!!
I have to thank Fox 2 for inviting me on! Hopefully we'll do it again soon.

2. The adrenaline from the morning lasted a long time and just when I was starting to settle into my day, I saw this email come through from Mizuno. I've been selected to be part of the Mezamashii Run Project. If you haven't seen it, head over to Mizouno and check it out. It really is a #Brilliant concept and I'm so excited to be a part of it!
In Japanese, the word mezamashii means "brilliant."
That is the feeling Mizuno is on a quest to deliver more of —
a euphoric, wind-in-your-heart run. A brilliant run.
So instead of spending millions of dollars on advertising to talk about our shoes,
Mizuno is giving away thousands of free pairs to runners like yourself so they can
experience more mezamashii.
And just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, 5:00 hit and I headed home and was greated by the tiniest little badass I know! (excuse my language but seriuosly?!)
Hopefully you had a good Monday. What did you do? How's your training going?
Congrats on all the good news! I just watched the clip- you did such a great job! What a fun opportunity!

ReplyDeleteA zillion congrats on all your accomplishments! It's totally awesome that Mizuno and other companies too are putting their marketing budget $$ towards giving the real users of their products a chance to try them and spread the word. After all, buzz marketing is the most trusted!
