Saucony Virrata...Find Your Strong!

Saucony Virrata
It's no secret that I'm not doing a lot of running right now.  But when these beauties arrived in the mail I was inspired to give it another shot and I was able to get a few minutes in which felt amazing.

But I have found that they are good for so much more.  They are a great shoe to cross-train in, a great shoe to grocery shop in and an even better shoe to travel in but you better be sure that if you do, you've studied up about the shoe and where people can buy them because in every one of those scenarios, I've been approached by complete strangers not to ask about my ever growing belly but about the awesome shoes I was wearing.

In every instance I found myself telling them not only about the Style, which you don't have to be an expert runner to know is awesome, the versatility and the technology behind the shoe (read the Saucony blog).

I don't have to tell you about the style.  These shoes are hot!

The Virrata are great for running, we all know that, but they have been great for cross training too.

Being a runner, I absolutely love the technology behind the shoe.  Saucony has successfully combined flexibility, minimalism, cushioning and support.  As a pregnant runner, having a shoe with support is essential. The Virrata has everything I need.  I usually like a neutral shoe and this fits the bill.

So here's the bottom line...I can't tell you how the Virrata performs on a long run right now (but I will as soon as I'm able) but I can tell you that this shoe will quickly become your all purpose shoe, your "go to" shoe.  It's got all the makings of your next favorite pair! They will definitely help you "Find your strong"!

What kind of shoe do you like?  What do you look for in a good shoe?

  1. I think that they look great! I would be a little concerned about using them for a long run. I think I need a little more support. Maybe for shorter, faster runs. Love Saucony, though.

  4. They definitely get big style points! And I like that they are flexible and zero drop. They look a bit too cushy for this minimalist girl, but I think they are a great starting point for those making the transition.

    1. I think they are great for those of us that want to try the minimal shoe without the fear of going completely minimal. :)
