But I have found that they are good for so much more. They are a great shoe to cross-train in, a great shoe to grocery shop in and an even better shoe to travel in but you better be sure that if you do, you've studied up about the shoe and where people can buy them because in every one of those scenarios, I've been approached by complete strangers not to ask about my ever growing belly but about the awesome shoes I was wearing.
In every instance I found myself telling them not only about the Style, which you don't have to be an expert runner to know is awesome, the versatility and the technology behind the shoe (read the Saucony blog).I don't have to tell you about the style. These shoes are hot!
The Virrata are great for running, we all know that, but they have been great for cross training too.
Being a runner, I absolutely love the technology behind the shoe. Saucony has successfully combined flexibility, minimalism, cushioning and support. As a pregnant runner, having a shoe with support is essential. The Virrata has everything I need. I usually like a neutral shoe and this fits the bill.
So here's the bottom line...I can't tell you how the Virrata performs on a long run right now (but I will as soon as I'm able) but I can tell you that this shoe will quickly become your all purpose shoe, your "go to" shoe. It's got all the makings of your next favorite pair! They will definitely help you "Find your strong"!

I think that they look great! I would be a little concerned about using them for a long run. I think I need a little more support. Maybe for shorter, faster runs. Love Saucony, though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm definitely going to ease into them when I do get to start running more.
DeleteThose are sweet lookin shoes!
ReplyDeleteThey are so much fun!
DeleteThose are smoking shoes! I love how they look! I've been really loving light-weight, flexible shoes lately. Can't wait to check these out!

DeleteThose are definitely eye catching shoes! I'll have to check it them out. It seems like everyone is loving the fit, feel and performance!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell they really focused on the fit.
DeleteThey definitely get big style points! And I like that they are flexible and zero drop. They look a bit too cushy for this minimalist girl, but I think they are a great starting point for those making the transition.
ReplyDeleteI think they are great for those of us that want to try the minimal shoe without the fear of going completely minimal. :)
Deleteooooh WANT. I need me a go to shoe.
ReplyDeleteThey would look great with your slim goodbody pants. :)
DeleteI love the shoes! they are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do love them!
DeleteGlad you like them! I generally go for a more supportive shoe, especially for cross training, but perhaps I'll branch out one day. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely worth trying on.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running shoes right now are my Brooks Ghost 5s and my Pure Connects.
I love the hot pink!
DeleteLOVING THE COLORS!! I am trying to work towards more minimalist type shoes and really working on my form - so these look FAB
ReplyDeleteThey would be perfect for you!
DeleteGreat review, Katie! I love that everyone was asking you about them. And you'll be back to long running before you know it!
ReplyDeleteIt's been funny! I just expect that they are about to ask about the pregnancy and find out that they want my shoes! I love it!
DeleteI love "minimal-type" shoes and use the Brooks version (Pure Cadence) you get so used to it being light on your feet!
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand that! I definitely think I'm converting!
DeleteI am loving this shoe! I have been easing my way into them, as not to get injured but so far they're amazeballs in every way!
ReplyDeleteI definitely think transition is important!
