Our weekend started a little early with a Blues Game. We went with my sister and her boyfriend. I like hockey. It's even better when it's in person but what I REALLY like is watching E enjoy it. He was animated, and into it the entire game. Never once squirming to get off my lap. He watched the plays unfold, clapped when we did something good and danced at every opportunity. It was a great game even if the blues did lose.
The rest of the weekend went pretty smoothly. Here's a quick snapshot:
- Picture 1 - E waiting patiently on his bed watching PBSKids.
- Picture 2 - Friday night, E and I went and had dinner with my mom. He just loves going to her place. He can see the Cardinals Stadium from one of the windows and even when there's no game he watches on intently hoping the lights will come on and they'll start playing.
- Picture 3 - Sadly I have no pictures from Saturday but we went to a birthday party for a friends son and it was a ton of fun. Today, E fell asleep on the couch. This NEVER happens in our house. I had to capture it.
- Picture 4 and 5 - This afternoon it warmed up some and we had puddles all over the place so E got to try out his new rain boots. Needless to say, he tested them out in EVERY puddle he could find.
- Picture 6 and 7 - I found these pillows in Pottery Barn Kids that I love but couldn't see spending $110 for three little pillows so my sister and I like to think we're crafty so we're going to try to make them ourselves. If this works, we would've made all three for $45.
- Picture 8 - The weekend ended with a bath. I don't know about you but there's nothing better than a smelling a clean baby (even if he is 2). I will always think of him as a baby every time I smell Aveeno from here on out.
Oh, I have a couple other quick things.
1. Thank you so much for your support and responses to the Blog Reading is Dangerous Post. Thank you for your support of what will be a tough month for me. I can't thank you enough. It feels so good to know that we're in this together and that we're here to support each other. There's plenty of room for us all to succeed in our own ways!
2. A while back I had you help me vote for a new header image for the blog. The next time you'll see that is when Baby Nuunie arrives. I will teach someone to update the header so even if I can't get on to blog right away, you'll know she's here if you come to the blog and see the header change!
3. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted to make sure you saw the cute printable coupons I showed in the New Mom's Push Prize post. They really are for any mom or dad and they might just help you with your Valentines Day Gift Giving.

Sounds like a great weekend. How fun that you can enjoy hockey with your son. It's not my sport, but I've heard it is very exciting to watch live.
ReplyDeleteI had a great weekend too. Lot's of running, including a 5k, and a trip to the beach.
What a fun weekend! My hubs is a huge hockey fan so he's always excited when we make it out to a live game. Except I'm always confused about where the puck is. :)
ReplyDeleteYour son is so stinken adorable!! I'm so glad you had such a great weekend!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what new header was chosen!!!
ReplyDeleteI neeeed me a new header too.
ReplyDeleteI shall live vicariously through yers for now.
I need a header...period!
ReplyDeleteThose PB pillows are very cute indeed! I love so much of their stuff, but you are right, prices can be a little suspect at times!
ReplyDeleteI missed out on a lot of family fun this weekend, but really enjoyed the certification. Those valentine day coupons are a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the coupons... very cool. Baby girl is gonna be here soooooooon. So fun.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was a typical busy weekend. I celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary, bought a new (to us) van ... yes I am an official mini van driving mama ... and had a successful 8 mile training run Sunday. :)
ReplyDeleteOur weekend (and most of them actually) was go, go, go! Friday night Linsey went to a school dance. Saturday we had soccer, archery AND dance rehearsal. Then Regan went to a friend's birthday party. Linsey turned 12 on the 7th and her party was Saturday night at the Hilton Airport. Me, her and 5 of her closest friends with an indoor pool and adjoining rooms. It was actually quite fun...exhausting, but fun! I even squeezed in TWO weekend workouts -- huge deal for me!
