I really started following Angela a few months ago and have really enjoyed getting to know her. Her kids are about the same age as E. Despite her always tempting me with her amazing food blog posts, she's an awesome blogger, mom and athlete. Get to know Angela! I know you'll like her as much as I do.
I’m an Upper Midwestern girl who now calls New Hampshire home for the past 7 years. I’ve been married to my wonderful hubby, Ron for almost 11 years. We’re parents to twin boy/girl toddlers who will be 3 in June. I’m an ACSM Clinical Certified Exercise Specialist that works in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
What TV show are you embarrassed about watching?
I’m a little obsessed with The Walking Dead. The first episode I laughed at it but then we got sucked into it. It’s so much more than just zombies! The story line is really great.
Best Celebrity Encounter
I haven’t had many but meeting and running with Joan Benoit Samuelson was pretty epic. She’s done so much for women in running. She didn’t say much but when she does, you listen!
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging since December 2011.
Why did you start blogging?
I’ve followed healthy living blogs for years. In the back of my head I always thought I should start my own since I have the credentials and I just love talking about exercise. Eventually, I decided I wanted to try freelance writing about fitness. I thought having a blog would be a great way to cross promote the two.
What social media platform/technology do you find most confusing?
Google + - Don’t get it at all!
What motivates you to exercise?
My main motivation for exercise is how it makes me feel. Of course the physical strength it gives me is awesome. But it’s more than that – it’s feeling empowered to do anything (or at least try). My kids also motivate me. They are constantly watching what I’m doing so I have to set a good example. I love when they put on my race medals, run around the house and exclaim “I’m running!”
What fitness activities do you engage in?
Running is my main love. Yoga comes second. I also love cycling, Barre, weight lifting, hiking and just movement in general.
What are your fitness goals for 2013?
I’m going for my first full marathon in May! I also hope to get back into trail running more. Overall I just want to increase my strength and stay injury free.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned since becoming a mom?
No text book can give you all the answers in parenting. It’s more of ‘learning on the job’ career.
Window/Aisle Aisle
Fruits/Veggies Veggies
Vanilla/Chocolate Chocolate – always!
Sweet/Salty Salty (can I have both?)
Beach/Mountains Beach
Morning/Night Morning
Microsoft/Apple Apple
Dogs/Cats Dogs
TV/Books Books

Love Angela and her blog and so fun to learn more about her. Can't wait to cheer her on for her first marathon later this spring. It's true - parenting is a lot of "learning on the job"!!
