This is What 36 Weeks Looks Like..

The best part about Mondays for me right now is getting to mark another week of pregnancy off the calendar.  At this point, we're ONE MONTH away and I couldn't be happier.  I'm done.  Put a fork in me...done!

But I haven't done an update in a while so here we go!

Total Weight Gain: 31 lbs

Stretch marks: Nope! I think it must be genetic because my mom never did and neither did my sister but I see pregnancy in my legs.  I get varicose veins.  :(  Not cute at all.

Sleep: Falling asleep isn't a problem but staying asleep definitely is between the frequent potty breaks, Charlie horses in my calf and a toddler that has yet to master sleeping through the night, I rarely get 8 hours of continuous sleep.
Pottery Barn Chevron DIYBest moment this week: Ordering my hot water dispenser to be installed in the kitchen. It's the best thing ever for heating up bottles (and speeding up pasta cooking). Oh..and finishing the crib skirt for baby nuunie's room.  (I'll give a formal review of all the work we did in Baby Nuunie's room as soon as we're done.)

Miss Anything: Ha! My last update I talked about missing wine, my old clothes and high heels. Now I'm just missing my ankles. :)

This is what 36 weeks looks likeMovement: It's funny. You read all the books and they talk about how movement will start to drop off later into the pregnancy due to lack of room so either I have a LOT longer than I think or Baby Nuunie is some how finding additional room in my midsection.

Food cravings: Still stuck on anything sweet. It's really not good and I'm hoping to kick the sugar but it hasn't happened just yet.  I'm putting myself in a bad place once this baby is born.  I'm going to have a lot of weight to lose but I'm determined it will happen.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Gender: Girl!

Labor Signs: Braxton-Hicks contractions are constant but not close enough to be labor related.

Symptoms: Just tired, and cranky but what's new.

Belly Button in or out: In!

Wedding rings on or off: Off. :( I really thought I was going to make it through my entire pregnancy wearing my ring and watch for that matter but this last week, I had to take them off at work a few times and realized that I should probably put them away so I don't lose them.

Looking forward to: Seeing E get to know her. Maternity Leave, and just trying to figure out what life as a family of four will be like.

Workouts: I'm in the gym about twice a week, doing mainly a mix of cardio and some weights but doing more and more walks with E. Trying to spend as much time with him as possible but more importantly, not going to the gym lets me get E in bed earlier in the evening.

Things Still Left To Do before Baby Arrives: Oye! Tons! Find a name, Finish her room, finish her art work, wash her clothes. Oh wait, I need to buy her some clothes.  I have some from my Sis in Law but she is gonna need more. Get the glider cushions re-upholstered.  Finish the remodel jobs around the house we decided to take on last week, get the air ducts cleaned...and the list goes on.

I really need to pack my hospital bag. I broke down and got some new nursing tanks since I figure I'll be living in them for 8 weeks straight. Motherhood Maternity had buy 3 get one free. So I got a pretty good deal. Then found My Breast Friend on Zulily for half off!! I'm still stalking Craig's list for the elusive reasonably priced B.O.B. Dualie but I'm patient. It will show and I will snag it when it does! :)

  1. You look fabulous!!!! It's getting so close! Hope that the last 4 weeks both fly by and creep by! Wouldn't that be great if both could somehow magically happen?

    1. Thanks! I totally agree. I wish it would creep by in some ways and speed up in others.

  4. You look fantastic! And I am beyond jealous that you only have four weeks left! My "to do" list mirrors yours, including the daily stalking of Craig's List for a BOB Duallie. And finally, I think it's total bunk that you feel less movement later on in pregnancy. Substitute the word "less" with "more uncomfortable", and then they've got it right. Good luck over the next four weeks!

    1. Ha! Uncomfortable is exactly what it is. She definitely hasn't stopped moving yet.

  5. You are adorable!! I was the same way- no stretch marks, but dealt with varicose veins. :( Runs in the family, so it was hard to avoid. Can't believe you're only one month away, yay!!

    1. Varicose veins are not fun but I guess we can't avoid them. Wonder how much it costs to get them zapped. Hmmm.... :)

  8. Looking good!

I felt the same way about spending time with B before L arrived. I think I cried for over an hour the last night we spent together with him being my only child (I knew I was being induced). It's such an emotional time!

I'm pretty sure I will be feeling exactly the same way in the next 3-4 weeks (and hopefully by that point you will have your little lady in your arms!!). Your to-do list makes me feel better though - lol. I'm pretty much right there with you, except there is absolutely nothing done in the baby's room at all (although, I did buy paint this weekend -- woohoo!). Thanks for the heads up on the nursing tanks -- off to check out the sale!

    1. I totally agree. Everytime I look at E or lay down with him, I vow to myself that I won't/can't stop doing this when baby comes.

  11. Healthy moms like you make it look easy! I was reading a blog today(and re-living vicariously for my wife) about dumb comments people make to pregnant women... probably inescapable for most!
