39 Weeks...Pregnancy Update

I'm kind of hoping this is my last pregnancy update.  This weekend has been pretty eventful and I'm hopeful that we are close to meeting baby Nuunie.

Friday night I was having contractions that were about 5 min apart and intense but not "double-you-over" painful.  I wasn't sure so at about 10:00 we headed to the hospital to get checked.  I got there dilated to 2, they were able to track my contractions to about 3 minutes apart so they had me walk around some.  After about an hour of walking I was checked again and had gotten to 3cm.

It wasn't enough to keep us there so we got to go home and we've been here ever since.  I'm still feeling contractions and have an appointment on Thursday so let's see.  This could be a very interesting week.

Total Weight Gain: 38 lbs

Stretch marks: Nope

Sleep: Not much.  Even though we have finally gotten E on a pretty good sleep schedule, my sleep is contingent on contractions, potty breaks and finding just that perfect place to sleep.

Best moment this week: Every minute I got to spend with E.  I found a little time (and energy) to take E away for some mom and me time and I loved every minute of it.

Miss Anything: Sleep.

Movement: Tons.  More than I expected to feel right now but I'm definitely ok with it.

Food cravings: At this point, just a good glass of wine or two.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Gender: Girl!

Labor Signs: Oh yeah.

Symptoms: Swelling.

Belly Button in or out: Non existent at this point.  It's weird.

Wedding rings on or off: Off. I can't wait to wear them again.

Looking forward to: Seeing E get to know her. Maternity Leave, and just trying to figure out what life as a family of four will be like.

Workouts: Few and far between in the normal sense.  I'm outside a lot with E right now, walking and just enjoying spring.

Things Still Left To Do before Baby Arrives: We have gotten a lot done.  Kitchen counters are in, curtains are hung, E's sleep has been corrected to some degree. I even packed my hospital bag (post coming soon).  I guess we should put the car seat in and I'm still on the hunt for a double BOB stroller.

I can't wait to meet her, I can't wait to be a mom of two.  I'm nervous but we'll do what we can.

Don't forget to watch for the header to change!  That will be your clue that there's probably a baby here and I just haven't gotten to writing about it!  ;)

What are your labor inducing activity ideas?

  6. Eek - I can't believe you could go into labor at any time!!

Are you trying all the tricks? I think the only one I've heard of actually working is curb walking.

I hope this is your last pregnancy update too - good luck!
