Hello...*tink tink..is this thing on? Happy Monday everyone! Hope you're having a great day.
It's about 1:30 and I have BOTH kids asleep at the same time. I know, amazing right!?
Anyway, I just finished one of the 5 papers I have due for class in June (I graduate in AUGUST) and wanted to take a break and share some pictures with you.
Life as a family of four is really becoming a lot of fun. E seems to be settling little better into his role as big brother or at least I've adjusted more.
I'm going to start with something I've been meaning to do for a while...clean my closet. The top are the before pics..the bottom ones..after. I know it doesn't look spectacular but all the dress shirts are together by color, the pants have been sorted by size and by color. It is really gonna help me get ready for work in the A.M.s
We did some typical weekend stuff..
1. Trip to home depot for paint so we can paint our family room for the third time.
2. We started E back in soccer on Saturday which he LOVED.
3. E and I spent sometime in the kitchen prepping fruits and veggies for the week. He loves to help in the kitchen.
And then there are these...
1. Allie loves Nuun as much as I do and she's proud to show it off on her onesie. We love our strawberry lemonade. YUM!
2. E made his first fort all by himself. He crawled under it for about 3 minutes than jumped onto it from the couch causing a collapse of epic proportions.
3. Then through all of this, Allie just continues to be the sweet little cuddly one that I can't get enough of. I love those cheeks.
What's not pictured, because I forgot to take one, was of my "long" run on Saturday. I started training for the Rock'n'Roll Chicago and am working to build my mileage. I'm not so concerned with the pace just yet just want to improve my endurance first.
Ok, so that about does it for me for now. I have so many posts still to write and share with you but for now, I'm taking it a little easy to enjoy the last few days of maternity leave. I hope you'll understand. Let's just say I'm reminded everyday of just how precious every moment is and I'm bound and determined to live them.

ReplyDeleteOne of the best feelings is cleaning out my closet. It can get scary!
E loved the zoo. I see many more trips there in our future. :)
DeleteSounds like a fabulous weekend. I didn't get to do anything fun since its starting to flood out our way. Husband has been sandbagging since Saturday, so i've been trying to stay busy. I managed to take 3 garbage bags of clothes and 4 huge boxes of kitchen stuff to Goodwill! Made me feel good!! :-) Also - i have my closet in a similar setup as yours, its soooo helpful!
ReplyDeleteoh no! Sandbagging!? Are you that close to the rivers? Yikes! Hope everything is ok.
