New York City Experiences

So as you may know if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, S and I have run away to New York City for a little adult time.  Between our five year anniversary and my birthday last week, we felt we deserved it.

We still have a little time here but we've already had so many great experiences that I couldn't wait to share...and let's be honest, I'm kidless at the moment so I have a little time to write.

Experience #1...David Letterman Show

Before we left for NYC, I applied for David Letterman Show Tickets on a whim.  They called a week ago, I answered a trivia question and the tickets were ours.  We just made it to the taping because of delayed flights.  When we went to pick up the tickets, I think the page must have liked us.  We got the coveted "green sticker" which means we were audience leaders.

We got seated in the front row!  I couldn't believe it.  We could've touched David Letterman.  We even got a second of camera time.  I wish the guests had been better but regardless it was a fun experience and free so I'll take it!

Experience 2...Central Park Run

There is something about Central Park that I can't explain.  It has a romance to it that is so amazing.  I knew I had to run it at least once on this trip and I am so glad I did.  7 miles blew by and I didn't even notice.  I was too busy enjoying every stride.  Seriously running is the best way to see a city.  I think when it was all said and done yesterday, I ended up running/walking about 15 miles.  Crazy!!

These are just a couple highlights from our first few days in the city.  S and I have reconnected and I am missing my munchkins. We are fortunate enough to have family that will let us do this.  To be able to have these experiences just opens your mind and makes you appreciate life!

Hope you're having a fabulous day!
