Mommy and Me Update: 8 1/2 Months

You ever just look around at your life and say..."WOW!"?  I've been working 12-13 hour days for the past week and when I do get home, I walk in to a clean house, clean babies and a happy household.  All I can say is that I'm lucky.  My husband has been a rockstar and I love him for it.  So, now that I got that out of the way, let's check in on our life at 8 1/2 months.

MiniE

I love this age.  Her little personality is really starting to show and what I'm seeing is beautiful.  She has such a pleasant disposition. She is observant and quiet.  E, at this age, would belly laugh at just about everything.  MiniE will give you a smile and that's about it but what it looks like this little smile, that's ok.

She is still a rockstar sleeper.  She demands to be in bed by 8 most nights and sleeps till about 7:30.  She is loving food.  We have gotten through all veggies and quite a few fruits. 

She is not crawling yet but very close and I'm 100% ok with that.  E was walking at this point and I realized really quickly just how exhausting it is to have a walker.  So I'm savoring the last few days of having stationary baby.

She is not a huge cuddler either.  At bed time, she likes a bath, her teeth (all 8 of them) brushed, a bottle and then wants to be placed right into bed where she quickly assumes this position.

I just can't tell you how lucky I feel to have such a sweet girl.  You can tell already that she really looks up to her big brother and as she gets older the amount of interaction between them increases.  Today I got this picture while I was at work.  I mean really?!

Ok, now let's here how Mama is doing.

Mommy

Breastfeeding: Officially done.  It wasn't as long as I would've liked but my body decided that it was time to be done.  As a mom, you want to provide the best for your little ones and so I do have a little guilt that I'm not able to do this anymore but I have to let it go.  She's healthy and happy so she probably won't notice.

Workouts and weight loss: I'm content where I am.  My body definitely shows signs of having had two children but that's ok.  Having the leanest, meanest physique is not my top priority anymore.

My workouts have been pretty unstructured.  There are no plans or goals right now.  I'm just doing what feels right and it feels good.  No stress, no pressure.  Just me and whatever workout I want to do.  Take, for example, this attempt at a yoga session.  Sometimes, it doesn't always go as planned but that's ok too.

Overall, life is good.  Christmas was amazing and we're just enjoying our life right now.
