Quick Recap of Father's Day

Father's Day came and went so fast that I almost blinked and missed it but we did manage to help S celebrate his first Father's Day with family.

In the late morning, my family came by to have some lunch before they headed to a Cardinal Baseball Game.  It was a quick visit but it gave everyone enough time to present my dad with his Father's Day/Birthday Gift.  We've been trying to years to make him more technically advanced with gifts of GPS systems which still sit in the box, kindles which is collecting dust on his desk but we think this one will be different.  We got him an ipod nano which we thought he could use it on his morning walks or plug it in to his outdoor speakers.  We're optimistic but we'll see.

In the afternoon, S's family came over to have lunch.  While they were here, we were able to get a picture of 3 generations of dads.  Pretty amazing.

After everyone left, S decided that he wanted to take a nap.  Luckily it coincided with E's nap so I got to capture this sweet little moment. They might become buddies after all.

Later in the evening we went over to my parents apartment to have dinner and have some ice cream cake to celebrate my dad's birthday.  I feel terrible but I didn't get a picture of my father on his day but we did get pictures of E with his cousin and my mom.

When it was all said and done, E had had a pretty busy day.  We went to bed in his crib but early in the morning woke up and I couldn't get him back to sleep in his crib so he slept with us for a few hours.  When I got up to go to work, I blockaded him on the bed and got ready for work.  E didn't seem the least bit concerned with the fact that we had to get moving soon.  He was just chillin in bed.

OH, Did I mention this little monster is now 8 months old?  I can hardly believe how fast time is flying.  Pretty soon this little man will be walking and talking.

Can I add a little commentary here...Aren't those the chunkiest legs you've ever seen?
