I'm About to get Pretty Muddy

That's right!  I'm heading to Chicago in a couple weeks to run in my first Mud Run.  Ever since Hood to Coast ended, I've had that runner's hang over (i.e. depression) that sets in from accomplishing a goal.  I've needed something new to look forward to...to train for and that thing has finally presented itself in the form of another first for me...my first Mud Run.  It's going to be pretty muddy.

I mean seriously, this is going to be awesome.  On September 15th, I'll be heading to Chicago to run a 5K that is loaded with obstacles and fun!  I mean seriously?!  Check this out!

Pretty Mud Runs are all over the Midwest and East Coast and they give us women a chance to get muddy and have fun doing (sorry no guys).  Are you registered?  What's that?  No?  Well then you're in luck, I have a surprise for you.  I have a registration code that will get you $10 off your registration!  But you better register fast, the races will fill up.

Just use code: FitFluentialPM12  to get $10 off your registration    Register Now!

I think this is exactly what I need to get my fitness engine running again. Have you ever run a Mud Run?  Are you running the Pretty Muddy Run?  Do you have any tips?  What should I wear?

FitFluential LLC compensated me for this Campaign. All opinions are my own.

  7. I ran the Warrior Dash last weekend and we had a blast!!
Wear clothes that you don't mind ruining or at least wear dark colors. I donated my shoes so if you think you might want to leave them there, make sure you bring another pair to wear back to the car. Also, bring a change of clothes (that could get dirty) and a towel for the ride home in case there are no showers.
You can visit my blog for the recap and pix!
Have a GREAT time in Chicago!!!

  8. I haven't done one, but it seems like a lot of fun and is on my list if there is one nearby that works with my schedule. Seems like there'd be great pictures!
