19 Weeks: Turkey, Trains and Portraits

19 weeks pregnantI can't believe we're in week 19 of this pregnancy.  The best part is we find out what we're having this week.  (Don't forget to enter the Gender Reveal Giveaway).  So far, everything is still going pretty smoothly.

I've been forced to go to the bowels of the basement to retrieve the trusty box of maternity clothes.  I really don't know why I fight it so much.  I know I'd be more comfortable if I had a little more room in my clothes but for whatever reason I like to wait as long as possible.

These past two weeks have been fun.  We had a great Thanksgiving, I ran a 5k, we took E to the transportation museum here in STL to ride the train and even took E to get his 2 year pictures (Finally!)

Make a note of what I'm about to tell you..Do NOT try to get pictures after Thanksgiving.  It's a new kind of hell that I don't wish on anyone.  E's first pic pretty much explains it.  We were able to get a few good pics though.  Oh and don't worry, I bought the CD opf pics just so I would have the sad picture immortalized in time (all future girlfriends will see this picture)
Sad Face

Crazy Toddler

I had pretty good workouts.  I definitely feel like I've let up a little but I try to consistently go a few times a week and run whenever I can but I've found that if I have to run on the treadmill than I'm better off not even bothering.  My mind just is too weak.  All I can think about is my stomach that bounces up and down.

E has been so cute lately.  We've been talking to him about the "baby".  If you ask him where the baby is, he'll lift up my shirt and kiss my stomach and say "awww babeee".  I hope that's a sign of a loving relationship to come between these two.

Hope you have a great week and stay tuned for more baby fun!  What are you planning this week?

  1. My memories of maternity clothes (admittedly a long time ago) is that the first pregnancy you can't wait to start wearing them because it is such a milestone. Then after wearing them for four months or so, you never want to see the darn things again. Therefore, the delay in digging them out in subsequent pregnancies, no matter how uncomfortable your clothes are getting.

I think your son looks adorable, even in the sad picture.

  2. What a cutie. Such a great smile. And you look awesome!! I can't believe your 19 weeks already. Didn't you just announce your pregnancy?? When I was pregnant the first time around, I resisted maternity clothes for so long. Then I discovered how truly wonderful elastic waistbands can be. haha.

  6. You look so cute and so does E, even with the picture struggles! I remember fighting maternity clothing too--once you give in, though, it's kind of a relief, isn't it?

  9. I gave in this week too! I'm 20 weeks on Wednesday and I had to go out and buy maternity clothes this weekend I just couldn't stretch my "fat" clothes any further! I have to say I feel MUCH better in clothes that fit right.
