Halloween was Definitely Scary

Where to start...I am always so excited when Halloween rolls around.

I look for a cute costume (I had success this year, thanks to Old Navy)

I buy lots of candy.

The night comes and you think it's going to go a certain way. Like for example, that your child will wear the costume. HA! Not in my house! You would've thought E was having an allergic reaction to the costume. He fought me. My husband tried bribery, which also didn't work. So we resorted to the "Backup" costume. A skeleton shirt and a track suit. My husband told everyone he was a Red-shirt Freshman Ball player.

We walked to a few neighborhood houses and then headed to see my sister.  While we were there, some trick or treaters came knocking and E, feeling like a big boy, thought he could take care of them (as a reminder, he's 2).  What he saw though when he opened the door was 2 (probably 7 or 8) kids wearing pretty scary looking masks.

He backpedaled so fast.  I have never seen him move that fast.  Right into my sister's arms and wouldn't let go. My sis calls this the "Squishy Face Hold", It is so cute!  I felt so bad for him.  He was so scared.  My sister, of course, took every ounce of his bear hug and loved it (e's usually  not a cuddler).  Needless to say, he didn't open the door the rest of the night.

When we got home I let him have one piece of candy then we got ready for bed.  SO..not sure how your Halloween went but hopefully it was a little bit better than ours.  By the way, I know have an unused Monster's Inc. costume for sale.  Never used...

How was your Halloween?
