As part of the Chevy Keys to STL campaign, I was asked to identify three keys to STL; places or events that are unique and worth experiencing. I could take the easy way out and name the normal ones…Forest Park, City Museum, The Zoo, The Arch, etc... BUT I won’t. These are truly little gems you might not know about that are worth doing. If you live here, sign up today! If you are visiting us, plan accordingly, you won’t want to miss out!
EVENT: March 9, 2013 – Celebrate Fitness -You know I wouldn't be a fitness blogger if I failed to mention this event. It is so unique that if you are planning a trip to STL and you’re flexible, I highly recommend you try to get here in March. Celebrate Fitness is a morning of fitness and fun where all proceeds go to benefit various programs at Siteman Cancer Center.
I’ve been helping with this event for 5 years now and still love it. When you register, you get to pick between any of the following events to participate in:- 1 Mile Run
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Zumba
- Yoga
- Bootcamp
- Water Aerobics

PLACE: Kitchen Conservatory – I love this Kitchen Conservatory! Why? Because they give you an alternative to the typical date night, they know what you want to learn when it comes to cooking and they have all the experts to make it fun and informative.
If you’re coming into town and looking for something unique to do, try looking up the class schedule and scheduling your class today.

TOUR: Fox Theater – So I know, it’s not fitness related but it is a must! If you appreciate theater at all you will appreciate this tour. At only $5, you get to see all the amazing secrets behind putting on a stage performance. You get to go backstage and see the dressing rooms, and walls where each show that has been through has left their stamp. Each company, singer or band signs the wall. Some go beyond just signatures by leaving little murals behind. They truly are amazing. I’ve taken this tour twice and I could do it again and again.
For $5, you can’t beat the experience.
In addition to all these amazing things, you can also check out a couple other posts about some of my other favorite things about the city I live in. Hopefully, you'll put them on your "to do" list and plan a trip. If you do, let me know!

awesome keys to STL! I'm going to have to look into the celebrate fitness event, sounds awesome!
