I believe I have been pretty honest about the bundle of energy that is most commonly referred to as E. He started walking at 9 months which means we have been buying kid shoes for almost 2 years now. One thing that I've noticed is that early on, the demands on shoes are minimal but as kids grow up and start moving faster, their shoes need to respond to their tiny feet needs. E is no different. He beats up on shoes. He plays hard. He runs, he bikes, he wrestles and he is very picky about his shoes.
First let's talk about E's shoes. Like I said before, my kid has boxes for feet. They are wide which has made buying shoes challenging. His little pontoon feet need room and there just aren't many options for kids with wide feet. So when I found out the Saucony Ride 6 came in wides, I was super happy. E was happy because they coordinated well with his current favorite "jimmies" and cup.
Saucony Kids is designed with Saucony DNA but engineered with Stride Rite know how. The look and feel you love about your Saucony’s, your kids can feel and look the same with what we like to call “kid-rite” design
Kid-rite design means that all our shoes are specifically designed for the healthy development of a child’s foot vs. just shrinking down the adult version. This allows us to have an ultra-flexible outsole that is durable for little ones who are off and running and appropriate technical elements for older kids who maybe already be running faster than you. (just kidding!)
E wasn't the only one who was treated..I also got a new pair of Wave 6s and they have rocked my world. I
If you are a new mom thinking about purchasing a jog stroller, I highly recommend the BOB by Britax. You can see their entire line of strollers and accessories on their website or head over to their facebook page.

Great review! My little guy loves his Saucony Ride6 also! He thinks they make him run SUPER FAST! :)
ReplyDeleteCute shoe...but I'll go against the grain here. I think the best thing for kids feet is to be bare as much as possible. I have both my kids in as close to nothing even when they do wear shoes. Their feet need to develop naturally!
ReplyDeleteOne of my sons loves his New Balance running shoes and my other little guy loves sketchers. I always wear asics or saucony :) Those kids shoes are super cute. I will have to have them try them out for the new school year!
ReplyDeleteMy almost 4 y/o loves her running shoes, and she's worn both Puma & Nike's. One of the problems I have is that her feet are really narrow, and most of the kids shoes are super wide. I agree with Miss Zippy and try to let both of my girls go bare foot as much as possible. I've heard that's the best way for babies to learn to walk, plus I avoid shoes as much as possible in the summer. If I'm not running, it's flip flops or nothing for this mama!
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought running specific shoes for my 5-year-old yet, I'll have to look into these. I'm an asics girl and my husband runs in brooks :)
